When it comes to fuel economy, Porsche Cayenne has two worst factors possible! It’s a sporty car and it’s a SUV.

But throughout the years Porsche have been working on this issue and can now proudly announce that those efforts have worked as they’re seeing  20 to 21 percent improve in its overall EPA fuel economy rating.

The new Cayenne’s lineup of engines is carefully engineered for efficiency. The six-cylinder Cayenne model consumes 20 percent less fuel than its predecessor, while the V8 Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo models have enjoyed similar reductions. At the same time, all of these new vehicles offer more power and better performance.

The new eight-speed automatic transmission and the lightweight four-wheel-drive system are also quite effective in fuel consumption. Porsche will soon launch the Cayenne S Hybrid as well in the American market which 21 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway further improving the car’s economy ranking.
