By introducing the new range-topping Captiva LTZ, Chevrolet is offering a high spec seven-seat SUV for a very competitive price.

This model is even better-equipped than the one sold in the US and comes with full leather trim with heated front seats, electronic climate control, cruise control, electrically-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic headlamp control, rain sensor wipers, and electrically-folding mirrors.

And it’s not just the features, you also get some visual tweaks as well. It has 18-inch alloys and unique rear light clusters, plus privacy glass.

Since this car is mostly used by parents for school run, safety has been an important factor in its development. So as standard it is fitted with ABS, ESC and traction control and there are both front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, plus roof curtain airbags. The Isofix child seat restraint system is fitted along with child locks on the rear doors.

For Britain the car is powered by a 150PS 2.0 litre VCDi diesel engine which has an average fuel consumption of 38.2 mpg with the manual and 32.8 mpg with the automatic transmission.
