The 2010 SRX has more surprises with an innovated model fresh with style and engine. It has been structured smaller compared to its previous models of 2004 to 2009. The original wheelbase was deducted to a short length of about five inches. The old models had a capacity to sit in seven passengers because of its third row seat. The disadvantage of the new model is limited space that can only fit an estimation of five passengers. There are two option packages of the SRX- Base and Luxury. Their Base model is a front wheel drive while the Luxury model is an all wheel drive. Both vehicles compromise a horsepower of 265 with a 3 liter six-cylinder engine. The engine is beneficial because it has a capacity to use E85 fuel. SRX is also offered in a Turbo Performance all wheel drive with a horsepower of 300 and a turbocharged 2.8 liter six-cylinder engine. The transmission available for all engines is an automatic six- speed. SRX can handle a hauling capacity of 3,500 lbs.

Cadillac’s idea of having a smaller luxury car is in near competition with its rivals from other companies like Mercedes Benz, Audi, and Volvo. The 2010 SRX is packed with high quality interior and exterior making it a Premium crossover. The new distinct structure of the SRX is completely different from the wagon-like previous models.

The vehicle includes Premium features such as an adaptive shock absorber, digital surround sound system, sunroof, front seats that can be heated and cooled, and a navigation system with a hard drive. Front-side airbags, curtain-side airbags, antilock brake system, stability control, tire pressure monitor, and daylight running lights are some of the protection measures standard in all SRX models.

The Base model consists of typical high quality characteristics such as wheels of 18 inches made of alloy, an electronic brake for parking, leather covered steering wheel and car knob, leather upholstery, foldable rear seats, dual zone climate control, and a complete set of entertainment with a Bose audio system consisting of eight speakers.

The Luxury model has best attributes like the LED headlights, sunroof, built in sensors for car parking in the rear and front sides, height power lift gate that can be modified, auto dim rear mirror, heated front seats, leather interior covering highlighted with wooden accent, and Bluetooth ready.

The Turbo Performance model is even excellent in functioning and equipment available with wheels 20 inches in rim made of alloy, xenon headlamps, fog lamps, assisted power steering, rearview camera, navigation system, and a Bose audio system compromising of ten speakers.

The most attractive part of the SRX is the interior design but backseat space would be uncomfortable for taller passengers. The cargo space in the tail part is roomy. SRX has a satisfying handling function and minimal noise is heard from the outside environment. The 2010 Cadillac SRX is an agreeable extravagant crossover even with its unimpressive base suspension that is not really suitable for luxury cars.
