Most sports cars are often expensive but Corvette ZR1 is exceptional in performance level plus it is cheaper compared to its sports car competitors. It has a horsepower of 636 with a supercharged 6.2 liter LS9 V8 engine. It has a manual transmission of six- speed. This powerful road monster has bigger brakes similar to the Enzo Ferrari. It is considered to be an overpowering production car with high class functioning level.  Its best features include a Performance Traction Management system and a Launch Control. The Performance Traction Management system is responsible for assimilating the traction control, selective ride, and active handling system of the ZR1. This guides acceleration function with the driver’s options and road condition. The Launch Control is used as an electronic button to aid the driver when accelerating for a more efficient car launch. A Magnetic Selective Ride Control is also available to efficiently regulate a solid suspension according to road condition.

Safety is a concern for this fast speed car but incorporated equipment like the antilock brake system, stability control, traction control, and airbags in the front and side manages vehicle impacts. Additional equipment package like chrome wheels, voice activated navigation system, wireless mobile phone linkage, and tilt steering wheel can be integrated to the vehicle promoting convenience and luxury to the driver.

Corvette ZR1 is regarded as one of the fastest production cars in the world. Even with its fast speed, ZR1 is effortless and smooth to drive. Corvette is obviously expensive in fuel consumption. A premium fuel and a Gas Guzzler Tax issue are required. The tax is only applied for newly released vehicles that don’t meet certain customary fuel economic standards. The average minimum tax rate totals an amount of $1000 above.

Steering wheel control of the Corvette is outstanding. Engine roar is distinct and noisy especially in highway drive. The controls of the car are handy to use sustaining comfort for the driver. The seats are decent to have sufficient room for the head and legs of the passengers.  The interior design is polished with leather and plastic accents. The cargo area is roomy but is limited for a number of items only.

Chevrolet’s Corvette ZR1 has been in competition with Porsche 911 Turbo. Corvette is more advantageous when it comes to a powerful horsepower but Porsche continues to satisfy consumers with overall performance.  Corvette ZR1 is still a product of modern and exemplary engineering preeminent for road superiority. A ZR1 can be purchased for an initial price of $106,880.
