Hyundai Veloster US Price

Hyundai kinda surprised everyone by releasing the official pricing for the new 2012 Veloster coupe, not because it’s too high, but quite the opposite!

The car starts at at $17,300 for the six-speed manual and $18,550 for the six-speed EcoShift™ Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). That is astonishi9ngly good for a playful front-wheel drive coupe that rivals cars like Mini Cooper, Volkswagen Beetle and Scion. It’s cheaper than most of them, and more importantly, it undercuts the Honda CR-Z by almost 2 grand.

The Veloster has a 140 hp 1.6-liter Gasoline-Direct-Injected (GDI) four-cylinder engine and delivers 28/40/32 mpg with the six speed manual and 29/38/32 mpg with the DCT. Standard features include a unique third door for easy rear-seat access, Hyundai’s Blue Link telematics system, Pandora internet radio, seven-inch touch-screen display.
