Lamborghini New V12 For Aventador

Just out of the blue Lamborghini revealed a brand-new V12 engine which can only be described as the engine for the Muracelago replacement.

That car used to be called Jotta, but now some very well-resourced rumors suggest that the official name for that is the Aventador.

AS for the this engine, it’s a 6.5 liter lightweight unit which develops 515 kW (700 hp) at 8,250 rpm while maximum torque stands at 690 Newton meters and is available at 5,500 rpm. At 235 kilograms, it is also extremely lightweight – with every single kilo of engine weight representing around three hp of maximum output.

This magnificent engine is backed by an innovative transmission for maximum performance. It’s called the ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) and it only has one clutch rather than the more usual dual-clutch systems, becasue it’s an automated manual, but it’s faster than them and also has more feel to it.It weighs only 79 kilograms which is much lighter than the DSG boxes.
