Mazda3 customers in UK can now choose a new variant of the car equipped with a frugal 1.6 diesel engine.
Rated at 115 PS and 270 Nm, this Euro 5 compliant 1.6-litre MZ-CD common-rail diesel engine is 2.2 percent more fuel efficient 4.4 litres per 100km / 64.2mpg (combined) and 1.7 percent reduction in CO2 emissions to 117g/km.
This engine has oxidation catalyst to increase the exhaust gas temperature and improve particulate combustion, enabling the DPF to operate without the use of an additive. In short, it’s cleaner than normal diesel engines!

As for the features, the car comes with decent amount of standard kit, including power adjustable door mirrors, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, air-conditioning, power front windows, remote central locking, driver’s seat with height and lumbar adjustment, and a radio/CD player with four speakers, plus MP3 capability and an AUX jack for hooking up MP3 devices.
