Mercedes Benz UK Driving Experience For Kids

Mercedes-Benz World UK is offering a fun program for the kids of Mercedes owners and let them drive just like mum and dad. Well, not quite like that, but in small toy cars!

It gives youngsters up to 1.3 metres tall and between the ages of three and seven years the chance to do what kids dream of and that is to drive. On a specially developed indoor road course, kids now have the green light to take the wheel of miniature battery-powered versions of the highly desirable Mercedes-Benz SL and SLK roadsters.  They drive on roads equipped with traffic lights, junctions and a zebra crossing – this has been designed to give little learners all the fun they could wish for.

Little Learner driving experiences are available every weekend and throughout school holidays for just £5, from 22 October 2011.

Mercedes press release:

Each experience starts with a short briefing by the friendly team that are on-hand at all times to encourage and help every driver.  And when it’s time to drive the scaled-down Mercedes back to the car park and “return the keys”, each young driver will receive their own Little Learners Driving Licence to take home with them as a memento and also a big smile on their face!

So now the whole family, regardless of age, can all experience the thrill of driving a Mercedes-Benz at Brooklands.  With a range of experiences to invigorate, excite or provide valuable skills to help with every day driving on the roads… there really is something for everyone.

Andrew Mallery, Commercial Operations Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars commented: “Since we opened the doors to Mercedes-Benz World, kids over 1.5 metres tall have been able to get behind the wheel of a  full-size, ‘real’ Mercedes-Benz car.  The popularity has been unprecedented.  With Little Learners we are going even further and giving our youngest visitors the chance to have their very own driving experience, creating an even more exciting destination for families to visit.”

Entry to Mercedes-Benz World is free and opens up three floors of displays and exhibits that bring the heritage of the brand that invented the car 125 years ago to life.  Visitors will see a collection of Formula 1™ cars powered by Mercedes-Benz, and all the innovations from the latest cars to the most iconic cars that have defined motoring for decades before.
