Mercedes S250 CDI: S-Class With Four-Cylinder Diesel
By Arman Barari on Sep 23, 2010 with Comments 0
At 2010 Paris Motor Show, Mercedes will present a new variant of the S-Class luxury sedan powered by a 2.2 liter four-cylinder diesel engine!
This is the result of the constant pressure on car makers to lower their overall fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
So the Mercedes S250 CDI BlueEfficiency is capable of 150 kW (204 hp) and maximum torque of 500 Newton, which gives it a decent performance as it can do 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, and attains a top speed of 240 km/h. The best thing about it however is the average fuel consumption of 5.7 litres per 100 kilometres, and Co2 emissions of 149 g/km.

But don’t think for a minute that this a discount version of the S-Class. This diesel engine is so darn clever and features very advanced technologies. And it’s still a Mercedes S-Class with all the onborad amazing toys and gizmos. So it has a stating price of 71,876 Euros!
