Aston decided there’s no need to come up with an all-new GT racer for 2011, becasue the current Vantage is quite awesome in every aspect!
So they just tweaked it a bit, making it a little bit better than before.
Based on the production V8 Vantage, the GT4 features the same basic engine, aluminium chassis and suspension design, but it’s 4.7 liter V8 develops more low-range torque and it has enhanced aerodynamics with more downforce and better brakes.

The small aerodynamic tweaks also help with the cooling, thorough the new front splitter and rear diffuser that channel air better.
Aston Martin Racing has built and sold more than 80 Vantage GT4s to customers around the world in the last two years and it has become the most successful car in its class. In 2010, it won the European GT4 Cup as well as the GT4 class at the Dubai 24 Hours, the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the Spa 24 hours.
