Mercedes finally released the first set of official pictures of the new look CLS -Class before they reveal the car in full at Paris Motor Show in September.
The CLS, being the first car in the four-door coupe segment, still retains its signature designs with curvy roof and short hang overs. But the whole design seems to be matured as it now looks more elegant than sporty.
It comes with all-new head and tailights, bumpers, bonnet, grille, and … in fact every single panel apart from the roof line has been changed. Even at the sides, it features a new “dropping Line” as one of the main characteristics.

The LED headlights of the CLS are very technologically advanced. They consists of LED indicator in the upper layer, beneath which is a striking LED side light offers LED low beam functions. The side light can also be seen when the high beam is activated, thereby creating a unique night-time design.

Then there’s the interior which again is totally revamped. Dashboard, steering wheel, dials and buttons, main display, they’re all redesigned with higher quality materials. The CLS now comes with an steering wheel-mounted gear lever like other new Mercedes cars instead of a conventional knob.

2011 Mercedes CLS engine specs are yet to be confirmed, but for the first time it’ll be available with four-cylinder unit, BleEfficiency and 4Matic systems.
