Peugeot 3008 is not a pretty car. It’s a really ugly car to be honest, but now they are giving it something that might make it interesting!

At Paris Motor Show, Peugeot will unveil a hybrid variant of this car, which is a mix of crossover and MPV, and it becomes the first car in the world to feature a diesel electric hybrid system.

2011 Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 is powered by a 2.0 litre 163 bhp HDi diesel engine and a 37bhp electric motor, producing a combined power of 200 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. That’s a good amount of power, but even better is fuel economy, which is rated at 74.4mpg, with 99g/km of CO2.

This car has a clever system that allows the driver to choose between “Auto” mode, “ZEV” mode (Zero Emission Vehicle), Four-wheel drive mode, and Sport” mode driving styles.

Other advantages of the HYbrid4 drivetrain include High performance combined with excellent driveability, Silent operation, when driving in electric only mode, Peace of mind offered by the safety inherent in a four-wheel drive vehicle, and Environmental friendliness with CO2 emissions from 99g/km.
