Peugeot iOn Revealed Further

At 2010 Paris Motor Show Peugeot will unveil the final production version of their electric urban commuter called the iOn.

The car is basically a Mitsubishi i-MiEV with a Peugeot badge. It’s been developed jointly between the Japanese and PSA Peugeot Citroen group. It will also spawn Citroen C-Zero with the same sort of shape and technical features.

The iOn has also the same powertrain and batteries as the i-MiEV with the same advantages and drawbacks.

Peugeot iOn’s all-electric powertrain develops around 64 hp and roughly 120 Nm of torque. It has a range of 90 miles or roughly 150 km on a single charge.

Peugeot iOn 3 Peugeot iOn Revealed Further

The car does 0 to 50 km/h in 5.9 seconds while 50 to 100 km/h takes another 10 seconds. The top speed is about 150 km/h, but only if you can reach it!

Peugeot iOn 4 Peugeot iOn Revealed Further

Real world price of the Peugeot iOn which will come with a 2 year warranty will be around 30,000 euros.
