Saab 9-3 UK Price

Saab announced the official pricing and specs of the new 9-3 range for the UK and based on that the car has a base price of £22,495 for the sedan version.

The revised and upgraded Saab 9-3 is available as sedan, convertible and estate versions, all of them get a minor facelift over the predecessors and come with a bunch of new equipments and a couple of refined and very clean engines that are fairly low on CO2 emissions, making the 9-3 an attractive car when it comes to calculating how much tax you are going to have t pay over the year!

Saab 9-3 is a fascinating alternative to BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C Class. It has a certain charm that is hard to get at first glance, but Saab enthusiasts can wax lyrical about it for days!

You have to say given all the improvements on the new model, it is now good value as well. You might as well wait another year for an all-new 9-3 to arrive.

Fresh looks

The MY12 9-3 range receives a fresh face and is distinguished by new front bumpers, ‘ice block’ headlamps and a new grille. At the rear, the Saab wordmark replaces badging on the chrome trim and all Saloon variants receive a boot-mounted aerodynamic spoiler.

Inside, the cabin features titanium metallic-effect trim around the instrument panel, gearshift moulding, doors and glovebox. SE models are fitted with Leather Appointed comfort seats, while Aero models feature new graphite-fibre around the instrument panel, gearshift moulding, doors and glovebox and Leather Sport seats with contrast stitching.

Class-leading fuel efficiency

Under the bonnet, two new 2.0-litre petrol turbo engines produce 163hp and 220hp and include direct injection, variable valve timing and twin-scroll turbocharging. Both of these engines will be available with asix-speed manual and automatic transmission. In terms of CO2per unit of horsepower, the new manual 220hp 2.0-litre petrol 9-3 Aero Saloon and SportWagon raises the bar for efficient performance and is the most powerful sub 160g/km petrol engine vehicle on sale in the UK.

Like its sibling, the 9-3 1.9-litre manual twin turbo diesel line-up also offers class-leading CO2emissions of just 119g/km in both the Saloon and SportWagon. The MY12 9-3 SportWagon can now claim the title of being the most powerful zero first year VED estate car available in the UK and is a perfect choice for company car users, and a cost-effective option for customers keen toreduce fuel consumption and their carbon footprint.
