SsangYong XIV-1

At this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show SsangYong will be unveiling a car that showcases the company’s design language and the shape of future models.

The XIV-1 crossover unlike old SsangYongs is futuristic and kinda nice. The Korean car maker is clearly investing heavily into becoming the next Hyundai maybe! They seem to on the right path, at least design-wise.

The XIV-1 concept is a showcase for SsangYong’s design and engineering talents.  The name is derived from the phrase ‘eXciting user Interface Vehicle’, and highlights the show car’s focus on interaction with the driver and passengers. This concept was previously known as XUV-1.

Apart form this, SsangYong will also showcase petrol powered Korando crossover and SUT-1.

World debut of SUT-1

Ready to be launched at the Frankfurt show, the SsangYong SUT-1 was first seen in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011.

Applying modern design techniques to the traditional pick-up body, this stylish Sports Utility Truck perfectly presents the dynamism and strength of the SsangYong brand.  Balancing the need for load volume and attractive lines, SUT-1 is the ideal vehicle for a wide variety of drivers who enjoy leisure activities such as camping, skiing and cycling or just need a hard working truck.
