Volkswagen Touareg R-Line

The new Volkswagen Touareg is a good looking SUV, but still there’s room for improvement.

And one of the best ways to do so is through the R-Line factory kit that VW has announced for the car. This kit does a good job enhancing sporty appeal of the Touareg and includes tweaks for the exterior and interior.

You can totally tell this car apart from normal models with its spoiler lip at front, taller side skirts, revised rear apron with oval tailpipes and a diffuser plus a roof spoiler. It also includes 20-inch “Mallory” alloy wheels as well.

Inside the cabin you get aluminum pedals and knobs, leather wrapped steering wheel, bespoke door sills, and gloss black trims. Sport seats with Nappa two-tone leather and R-Line logo are other parts of this exclusive package.

R-Line kit is available for all the engine in the range except the hybrid. More details as well as the pricing in the press release below:

The R-Line “Exterior” equipment pack will now round out the options offered on the Touareg. The pack offers a more dynamic exterior look with unique R-Design bumpers, oval tailpipes and other details. Features of the Touareg R-Line “Exterior” pack complement the Touareg’s clean, sporty lines. At the rear, a textured “matt black” diffuser and oval tailpipes are integrated in the redesigned bumper section. Finishing the look at the rear is a custom roof edge spoiler. Typical R-Line styling continues in the side view with striking side sills in body colour, chrome door add-ons and R-Line badges on the front wings. The front also sports a new spoiler lip in R-Design.

The R-Line pack and the supplementary R-Line “Plus” pack are fine complements to the “Exterior” pack. Both packs upgrade the sporty exterior image of the “Exterior” pack with 20-inch “Mallory” alloy wheels and sportier tuning of the running gear. The R-Line Logo appears on the front stainless steel door sill plates and on the heated, leather-trimmed multifunction leather steering wheel with its “gloss black” decorative inserts. Rounding out the pack are stainless steel pedals and a leather-trimmed gearshift lever with aluminium inserts.

The R-Line “Plus” pack builds upon the R-Line pack with such features as front sport seats with electric 12-way adjustment and two-tone “Nappa” leather combination in “Flint Grey – Titan Black”.

The R-Line packs may be combined with all engine versions except the V6 TSI Hybrid. The R-Line “Exterior” pack for the V8 TDI costs 1,840 euros (V6: 2,200 euros), while the “R-Line” pack for the 8-cylinder costs 2,935 euros (V6: 3,670 euros) and the R-Line “Plus” pack for the V8 TDI costs 3,540 euros (V6: 8,330 euros).
