This is the new-look Jeep Compass for 2011, and there’s no getting away from the fact that it looks too much like the Grand Cherokee. And I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing!

It is certainly not the best looking car in its segment, specially with that ugly grille and rather unbalanced profile, but its price might justify its looks. After all it’s got lots of chrome bits and Americans love chrome!

It also gets a nice new interior with fresh design and higher quality materials as well as lots of standard and available equipments and features.

2011 Jeep Compass features Uconnect media center with iPod interface, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, navigation with SIRIUS Travel Link, power sunroof, a premium audio system with nine Boston Acoustic speakers, illuminated cup holders, liftgate speakers and fold-flat rear seats.

Other equipments include air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power/heated exterior mirrors, keyless entry, aluminum wheels, fog lamps, cruise control and sunscreen glass. New for 2011 the Jeep Compass offers an All-weather Capability Group option which includes Goodyear 17-inch all-terrain tires, all-season floor mats, daytime running headlamps, engine block heater and tow hooks.

As for the engines, you have the choice between a 158 bhp 2.0-liter or a 172 bhp 2.4 liter.
