The new 2010 Impala of Chevrolet is larger and more spacious than its middle sized sedans. Impala can handle an average of six passengers. It is a sedan suitable and cozy for family ride. Impala has declined in power level due to the elimination of the superior SS model. Impala is offered in three option packages- LS, LT, and LTZ. The LS and LT models have a horsepower of 207 with a 3.5 liter six cylinder engine. The LTZ model has a horsepower of 230 with a 3.9 liter V6 engine. The E85 ethanol fuel can be introduced to Impala’s engine for better economical fuel consumption. All models have an automatic transmission of four- speed.

Impala is convenient for the family to use because ride quality is smooth in the road, the space is large inside, it gained a high crash rating, and there is minimal noise heard inside the car.

The LS model is furnished with features like wheels 16 inches in rim made of steel, dual air conditioning, bucket frontal seats, driver’s seat with a six- way power, and a complete audio system with six speakers. OnStar system is also subscribed in the LS model. It is a company available in the US and Canada which is responsible for a vehicle’s accessibility in communication, security, hands free calling and navigation, and remote diagnostic system. The LT has the same standard features with the LS model except for additional equipment like a compass and the outdoor temperature display.

The finest model is the LTZ. It consists of alloy wheels 18 inches in rim, solid suspension, heated mirrors, leather upholstery, power operated passengers seats, auto dim rear mirror, Bluetooth connectivity, and a high class Bose surround sound system with eight speakers. Additional options of the LS and LT include a front bench seat while the LT and LTZ are offered with a sunroof.

Fuel mileage with the LS and LT models runs a mpg of 18 when driven in the city and 29 mpg in highway drive. The LTZ model runs a mpg of 17 in the city drive and 27 mpg during highway drive. Combined highway and city drive totals a mpg of 21.

Safety equipment present in Impala is stability control, antilock brake system, front-side airbags, curtain airbags, and the OnStar system. It gained a five-star rating for frontal and side impacts and four-star rating on rear impacts.

The interior condition of the Impala is fine but not luxurious enough because of some low quality materials. There’s an expanded room for the hips and shoulders and an average space for the legs. The cargo space is large for long equipment to fit in.

Acceleration and engine of Impala is sufficient for family and everyday drive. Ride with the Impala guarantees excellent comfort and effortless driving.
