Ferrari was kinda reluctant to create a roadster version of the 599 GTB, but finally to celebrate Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary, they did!

And it’s called the Ferrari 599 Aperta Roadster, rather than 599 Roadster, paying homage to both Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina whose company and work have been linked to the most successful road-going cars ever built at Maranello.

The car looks a bit like the Ferrari 550 Barchetta and features a fabric soft-top and some unique styling cues that set it apart further than the coupe.

The Aperta has a shorter windscreen, and two unique roll bars that are part of the body. It also has uprated suspension and chassis settings. That’s becasue the roadster is bit heavier than the coupe, so it also has more power, 670 HP.

They will only make 80 units of this car, apparently all of them already sold out, and each bespoke to the specs of the customer.
