Although, there is not a single method to remove this smoke odor but still you can get rid of it by performing several procedures together. The necessary things you will require for this procedure include the following:

  • Vacuum
  • Rags
  • Auto upholstery cleaner
  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda

Step 1:

First of all, vacuum your car seats as well as its carpet carefully in order to take the dust out. Then take auto upholstery cleaner and spray it on your seats, carpet plus headliner. Let the cleaner there for near about 5 minutes.

Step 2:

After that use a hand-held scrub brush and scrub your seats, carpet and headliner with it. Now vacuum all these parts again to remove the remains.

Step 3:

Fill up a spray bottle with vinegar and spray it on the plastic panels (including dash, center console, etc). Let the vinegar there for some minutes and after that use a rag to scrub the panels. This vinegar will take the film out from the panels, which adds to the smoke odor.

Step 4:

Now let your car sits for some hours (for the whole night if possible) for its seats and carpet to dry completely. At this time, try to spray baking soda on the seats and carpet. After that close the doors of your car and allow the baking soda to soak up the smoke odor. Leave your car in this condition for the whole night to get best results.

Step 5:

Now to take out the baking soda, carefully vacuum the seats and carpet another time. All these things (combination of vinegar, upholstery cleaner plus baking soda) will surely remove most of the smoke odor from your car.
