Hyundai RB Concept Revealed In Moscow

Before Hyundai shows its future plans through their new concepts at Paris Motor Show, they are taking care of their local markets around the world by giving them special models.

This one is the RB Concept, which will be produced as a mid-size sedan for the Russian market, so it was premiered at the Moscow Motor Show.

The car is designed based on the firm’s fluidic sculpture’ design philosophy but it’s not as posh and brush as the new Sonata or Genesis or even the new Avante. It’s going to be more affordable than all of them.

At launch the produciton version of the Hyundai RB will get the 1.6L or 1.4L DOHC in-line four cylinder gasoline engine that features multiport fuel injection with CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing). By replacing the old Alpha engine with Gamma, the sedan promises more power and torque, as well as best-in-class fuel economy, in keeping with Hyundais pledge to be the industrys eco-leader.

Pricing for this model will be announced closer to launch date which is Spring 2011.
