The Kia KV7 is the Korean firm’s concept for 2011 NAIAS.

This is as you see an MPV, but it actually redefines the segment with some new and amazing features that has never before considered for a car of this type.

The most striking feature of the KV7 is of course the Gullwing rear doors which make it easier loading up the cargo or for the passengers, but it also features innovative electronic stuff, including a tabletop touchscreen computer in its lounge-like rear compartment.

KV7 reveals a vision for a vehicle with the functionality to transport a large number of people, and their belongings, while also serving as a connected social hub for groups of friends and adventure-seekers. That’s how Kia defines the KV7.

The KV7 concept is powered by a Theta II 2.0-litre GDI turbocharged engine, as found in the new U.S. spec Optima saloon capable of delivering up to 285 hp and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The car’s interior employs four custom-built swivelling seats, including the driver’s seat, and a rear-corner mini-lounge with seating for three and integrated storage compartments to promote interaction in an open social environment.
