It hasn’t been long since VW introduced the new generation of their 7-seat Touran MPV, but they are already updating it by adding a new BlueMotion variant.

This highly economical model helps the German manufacturer to reduce its overall fuel consumption and co2 emissions.

VW’s diesel-powered BlueMotion cars offer an amazing level of economy, most of the time even better than the hybrid equivalents, for less money. And the new Touran is no exception, of course it’s not just as eco as a Polo for instance, but given its size and capabilities it’s brilliant.

The BlueMotion powerplant in this model is a 1.6 liter four-cylinder TDI developing 77 kW / 105 PS, with average fuel consumption of just 4.6 liters per 100 km and 121 g/km CO2 best in class for a MPV.

The car is also generously equipped as well, with air conditioning, RCD 210 radio/CD system with MP3 function, electric windows in all four doors, elegant decorative strips in ‘Brushed Chrome’ and daytime running lights – plus, of course, safety elements, such as six airbags and ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme), all as standard.
