Chevrolet Camaro Convertible by Hennessey

Hennessey Performance Engineering has established itself as an actual car maker now and not just a tuner, by launching their own branded supercar.

That’s why they get to work on cars that are not revealed to the public yet! Like the new Camaro Convertible.

They’ve already announced a package for it based on the HPE700 program. That means the Drop-top Camaro will get a LS9 V8 engine out of Corvette ZR1, which for good measure tuned to a colossal 755 bhp and 763 lb-ft Torque! So it can do zero to 60mph in just 3.3 seconds and run the quarter mile 10.9 @ 130 mph.

The looks of the car is also going to be awesome as you see here in this preview.

John Hennessey said, “We have already sold a several of our 2011 HPE700’s in hardtop form, increasing the potential for the convertible LS9 Camaro to become an even rarer option than before”. “I expect that we will sell all 24 units just as we did in 2010. However this time we will probably sell-out even sooner as the convertible option will certainly be attractive – especially with 755 horsepower”.
