Opel Launched Super Economical Astra ecoFLEX

The latest version of the Opel Astra is a super eco model with the ecoFLEX badge which manages 3.9 l/100 km and 104 g/km CO2 emissions.

The car is powered by a 70 kW/95 hp 1.3 CDTI turbo diesel engine features uses a common rail, multiple fuel injection system working at a pressure of 1,600 bar and a turbo charger with variable geometry.

To make also as clean as possible it also gets E59 control unit, and improved exhaust gas recirculation module (EGR). Also for reduced emissions it is fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) as standard.

The new aerodynamic characteristics of the car contributing to brilliant fuel efficiency are active aero shutter fitted to the front grille: It opens to allow air to pass the engine at low vehicle speeds and then automatically closes at higher speeds to smoothen the airflow at the front of the car. This system is complemented by carefully-tuned underside aerodynamics.
