Porsche released the latest version of the 911 GT3 Cup for the 2011 season, and it’s based on the 911 GT3 RS.
The Cup uses the same 450 hp flat six 3.8-litre engine, but where the RS weighs 1370 kg, the Cup is stripped-put and lightened to weigh only 1,200 kg.
As a result it offers greater performance than the road-going RS while being just as efficient. The new GT3 Cup will make its debut at 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship then it’ll start its career in Porsche Carrera Cup Championships around the globe and the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup.

The car also features a racing interior with the controls for the Info Display are now positioned directly on the steering wheel which houses a total of six switches that control a variety of functions including the pit-lane speed limiter, windscreen wipers, and lights.
The 911 GT3 Cup is priced at £94,600.
