The BMW 1 Series 2011 Model Detailed

Already been test driven is the brand new 1 Series M coupe model, and detailed information regarding this little beauties development has been released. Please read further for perhaps some surprising news.

The overall appearance of the new 1 Series M coupe has received some quite refreshing changes, the front fascia of the vehicle has a multitude of quite large intakes, this can be assured that this new vehicle will always have sufficient air. Adding to a more aggressive look is the fender flares, which inside these wicked looking flares are the wheels from the M3 Competition package, and located further beyond those are the M3 incorporated brakes. The suspension utilizes M3 technology as is the M3 diffuser that is in the rear of the vehicle, while this new vehicle features a whole lot of M3 technology it does however, lose out on the M3 carbon fiber roof. The new 1 Series M coupe will benefit from not incorporating a sunroof within this model, the reasoning behind this are that it will alter the center of gravity of the vehicle due to there being too much weight, therefore this feature isn’t included. I has been announced that there will be 3 available colors of the 1 Series M coupe model, these are; orange, black and white.

The Benefits of Turbos

This new model disappointingly didn’t receive the extra power boost that is usually associated with the M models. For example the M3, which is equipped with a powerful V8 engine and runs at a high 8400 rpm, the high rpm is literally a trademark for the M models, which is kind of lacking in the new 1 Series M coupe; it’s equipped with the ancient in-line 6 cylinder twin-turbo engine. Although slightly disappointing, it’s not all bad, as the new 1 Series M coupe can still output a rather decent 335 horsepower with 332 pound-foot of torque, and is stated to attain 0-60 mph in approximately 4.3 seconds, which is still very impressive. The new model only comes available with 1 transmission type; a 6 speed manual transmission.

The interior adorns black leather that is trimmed with Alcantara, and orange stitching is incorporated throughout to allow this vehicle to achieve a more sporty look and feel. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and it’s integrated with an “M button” , this button can be programmed for the preferences of the driver, such as the preferred nanny system settings, chassis and drive-train.

This new model should be released next Spring and priced around the $43,000 mark. With its sleek looks, powerful enough engine and decent price point, the 1 Series M coupe is going to be a serious contender to watch out for in the coming months.
